Mutton Biryani recipe with Heer Superior Basmati Rice
Ingredient for Mutton Biryani
- 500-750 grams meat (mutton)
- 500-750 grams Heer Superior Basmati Rice(soaked for 10 minutes)
- 2 cups ghee
- 3 medium sized chopped onions
- 4 medium sized finely chopped tomatoes
- 150 grams curd
- 2 Tbsp garlic paste
- 2 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp kewda
- 1 bundle finely chopped green coriander
- 1 pinch edible yellow color (mix 4 tbsp water)
- 1/2 tsp finely chopped mint
- salt as per taste
- 45 grams biryani masala.
Preparation
- Heat ghee in a pan and add onion and make it golden. Then add meat and fry for 5-10 minutes.
- Now add 4-5 cups of water and cook on low flame.
- When the meat becomes soft, then add tomato, ginger, garlic, curd and biryani masala and cook again for 10-15 minutes.
- In a separate pan, add 12 glasses of water and salt to taste and boil the rice until the rice is half cooked. Drain the water and keep it aside.
- In another pan, put a layer of rice and meat curry. One layer rice, then curry. Apply three to four layers like this. Sprinkle food colouring, green coriander, mint and kewda on each layer. Cover and cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes and then take it off and offer it hot.
